The Catamount Outdoor Family Center in Williston, Vermont will host the fourth annual RUTFest (Richmond Ultra Trail Festival) on November 2 and 3.
The weekend-long trail running festival is organized by the Richmond Trail Running Club and features a 36-hour event with two different three- and four-mile trail loops. The trails have spectacular views of both Camel’s Hump and Mount Mansfield, and runners can choose to do the loops on repeat whenever they want.
The event is billed as relaxed, low-key and held to foster a sense of community. Organizers say it is not for competition.
Entry fees are by donation only, and participants are encouraged to volunteer for a one-hour shift at the aid station and donate a snack to the aid station.
Profits from the event will be donated to the Catamount Outdoor Family Center, Girls On The Run Vermont and Outright Vermont.
Buckles are available for purchase for those participants who reach 100 miles.
