Weighted Race Hits MA Oct. 19

WWII Veterans Memorial Trail Weighted Race

Sometimes when you sign up for a challenging event, it can weigh on you.

An event coming up in Massachusetts in October will weigh on you … literally.

The WWII Veterans Memorial Trail Weighted Race will take place October 19 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

This is a different kind of race, and one where the fastest time might not get you a victory.

Participants will carry weight over a 3-mile course for however many laps they can complete over six hours. The winner will need to complete the most pound-miles, which will be determined by multiplying the amount of weight they carried by the distance covered. For example, a 3-mile lap with 10 pounds would get a participant 30 pound-miles.
