‘Nightmare’ Of A Race Returns To PA

All good horror flicks always have a sequel. (Usually many.) Turns out scary trail races are no exception.

After a big year last year, the North Ridge Nightmare, a Halloween-themed trail race, will return to western Pennsylvania the weekend after Halloween on November 2.

The race is put on by the North Park Trail Runners, a racing organization that does runs just outside of Pittsburgh.

Participants can choose from course lengths of 13K and 6.66K.

Organizers say the course offers beautiful views of fall foliage, a flat and fast trail with a few challenging climbs mixed in, and some technical singletrack.

Oh … and there’s a rumor the course is haunted. So be careful out there. You never know what you might see.
